A Gathering About Regenerative Living
Enchanted is a co-created gathering that we host at Selgars Mill every year. This gathering is for anyone who wants to explore new ways of living and connect with others in the regenerative space. The purpose of this gathering is to create a space where we can reconnect with ourselves, nature and each other at a deeper level. When we do this, new inspiration, new ideas and new opportunities begin to flow.

What's Happening?
The golden thread of this year's Enchanted gathering is the practice of living the questions.
At the core of the gathering we will have 4 enquiry sessions around the themes of health, home, wealth and self as ecology. These sessions will bring elements of nature connection, embodiment, solo time, group dialogue and ideation. These sessions will help us to break out of our conditioned patterns of thinking and will form the foundation for a wider co-creation to emerge throughout the gathering.
Enchanted is a place to share our life and work projects and spark collaborations.
There are many events out there to choose from. Why choose to come to Enchanted? Why invest your time and money in this gathering?

Our answer would be down to the beauty of the land, the quality of the people who will be attending and the unique event design, size and facilitation that we will be experimenting with.
Enchanted is not a conference or festival filled with expert talks and musical performances. It is more like a co-created retreat that leaves you with more inspiration, clarity, energy, hope and joy than when you arrived. It is a space to bring your projects, goals and challenges and explore them with others on a similar path. It is a space to dive deeper into the questions that matter most for you in your life right now, and to do so in a nourishing community and nature setting.

Ultimately, the practice of regenerative living begins with the conscious choice to slow down and listen more deeply to the nature that exists within and around us. This is what Enchanted is all about.
We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking that created them. A different quality of listening, learning and leadership is required to transition us towards a more regenerative and thriving future. Enchanted offers a collective space for us to explore, experiment and envision the future we wish to build.

The core idea behind this year's gathering is 'living the questions'. We will be hosting 4 enquiry sessions around the themes of health, home, wealth and relationship. These sessions will flow into self-directed activities and discussions in an open space format which we like to call Community Playtime.
What if you took a moment to draw your life as if it were a living system, a mycelial network of inter-connected nodes and relationships?
What does it feel like to be healthy?
What is the relationship between our physical & mental health?
How do all the different elements of our lifestyle impact our wellbeing?

What if we stopped thinking of health or burn out as an individual problem, but rather a collective challenge to tackle together as a family, community or organisation.
“Home” is one of the most complex, emotionally charged, and multifaceted concepts we ever had to work with.

Home is like a Swiss army knife: it is everything in one. It is joy and pain, shelter and cage, memories and future, growth and withering, it is the place we never want to leave but cannot stay in forever, it is unalterable and always changing. It is the space we wish to shape to our own tastes but fear to be alone in.

What comes first, the place or the people?
This session will take you on an intimate journey of self-exploration of your own inner economy, challenge your belief structures, and deepen your understanding of your relationship to money, wealth and economics. It is carried by the notion that our inner state of being informs the energy that we put out, interact and exchange with in the world around us, bringing the notion of “economy” closer to home. The session will guide insight into the following questions;

What does wealth mean to you? How can we craft narratives of wealth, money and economics to serve our needs of health and wellbeing?
How do my personal values, family/social values and societal values influence my relationship with money and work?
How do we design systems of exchange that respect our dreams of embodied regenerative living?
What is my embodied experience around having, spending, receiving, investing, giving, saving money?
Can we contribute to the shift of our capitalist consumerist economic systems by reframing how we relate to Wealth, Economics and Money?
How can we take radical responsibility over our inner economy?
What does it mean to be ecological?
We exist in rich, fertile webs of relationships, deeply rooted in ecosystems and social systems that we (wonderfully) cannot be detangled from. In this session, we will discover ourselves as ecological beings, and explore what this means for being in relationship, including our experience of navigating Enchanted as ecological, and therefore entangled, beings.

What are we experiencing now, in this season, on this land, with this community? What season are we truly in right now, not just physically, but also spiritually and emotionally? Can we hold these pluralities together?

Have you always wanted to run a workshop but never had the space to do it? Enchanted is a safe space to try it out and see what happens. Instead of polished presentations and expert panels, we invite our participants to step into the role of being facilitators. That's how we learn. That's how we grow.

To be 'enchanted' is to experience a profound and whole-hearted participation in the adventure of life. The enchanted life is one which is intuitive, embraces wonder and fully engages the creative imagination - but is also deeply embodied, ecological, grounded in place and community.
Over many decades and centuries we have elevated the rational and intellectual above all other types of knowledge, whilst also teaching that we should mistrust the evidence of our physical senses. In doing so, we lost that sense of wonder, awe and belonging to the Earth that we felt when we were children. What if we could dedicate a week each year to bring a bit more enchantment into our lives? To remind ourselves of the beauty, magic and meaning that exists all around us.

What creates the magic of any event is the mix of people who choose to attend. We would like to first invite you to share your story and tells us why your would like to participate in our gathering. We are intending to curate a balanced group of participants with a variety of interests, skills, and backgrounds that are united in creating regenerative solutions for ourselves and our planet.

At the Enchanted Gathering 2023 we came together in the name of regeneration to share knowledge and ideas and to connect with other changemakers around the globe. Enchanted is a co-created experience that engages body, spirit and mind.
Where are we gathering?
Enchanted will be hosted at Selgars Estate in Devon. We have agreed a two year lease and option to buy with the owner, which means that the ideas that we explore together during this event can grow into real projects and experiments. We can come back again and again to host retreats and celebrations, grow our own food and maybe even build our own homes and live here permanently as a community one day.

Enchanted is more than just an event - it is an invitation to envision what Selgars could become and how we can build a wider mycelium network of regenerative places and projects together. We are building a village and this is your chance to be part of its inception.

The prices above include 5 days, 11 meals and free camping. Accommodation is extra and ranges from £50 for a campervan spot to £200 for a private double room.

As humans, we are a part of nature. We are connected with our environment, with our bodies and with each other. We are aware of the environmental impact of our actions and act consciously.
We all contribute
Participants and organisers are all considered equal members and contributors to the event and the Regens Unite commons. All voices are equally important in the conversation and we share responsibility to hold a regenerative space.
We regen
We leave the event feeling rejuvenated and we leave the venue and location in a better state after being there. We support local producers, source what we need from the local economy, and ensure that we utilize the budget with a focus on minimalism and usefulness.
We embrace diversity
We invite people from a wide variety of regen backgrounds. We make the event accessible for everyone to come, including locals, parents and people who need to travel and take time off to participate. The attendee list and schedule are curated to ensure balance, diversity, and space for underrepresented voices.
We cross-pollinate
The focus of this event is to bring humans from various regenerative backgrounds & perspectives together for intimate, thought-provoking exchanges as well as rejuvenating experiences. We create a safe and curious atmosphere through nurturing the relational fabric and community-wide rituals. From this connection, we can bravely explore new ways to regenerate and meet each other beyond labels and biases.
